Carindale Dental offers a selection of payment options for your convenience including cash, credit card, EFTPOS or HICAPS.
HEALTH FUND
Carindale Dental is a preferred provider for Bupa, HCF, NIB and CBHS. This means patients in these health funds can claim a higher rebate from us than from other non-preferred provider practice.
For patients who are members of Bupa with a combined Hospital and Extras cover, Bupa offers 100% cover (no out of pocket expenses) for preventative dental items (including examinations, x-rays, Scale and clean, Topical Fluoride, Mouthguards) – subject to the annual limit of your plan. For general dental items (e.g. fillings, extractions), you will receive 60 – 100% depends on your level of cover. To be certain of your cover, please check with Bupa directly as waiting period and some normal fund dental rules/annual limit may apply which may affect your claim.
For all patients who are members of HCF and CBHS, you are entitled to 2 free examination and cleans every six (6) months fully covered by these funds.
MEDICARE CHILD DENTAL BENEFITS
At Carindale Dental we BULK BILL your child’s dental treatment under The Child Dental Benefits Schedule that commenced on 1 January 2014. It will provide benefits for basic dental services to around 3.4 million children aged 2-17 in families who meet a means test and certain eligibility criteria (e.g. receiving Family Tax Benefit part A or some other government payments).
Services for basic essential dental treatment, such as check-ups, scale and clean, x-rays, fissures sealants, fillings and extractions will be included under Medicare’s Child Dental Benefits Schedule. The total benefit entitlements will be capped at $1,052 per child over a two (2) calendar year period.
Families with eligible children aged 2-17 will receive a letter to confirm eligibility. If you haven’t received any letter and would like to find out if your child is eligible, please ring our surgery with your child’s Medicare number. We are able to log on to the medicare website to check if your child is eligible and any balance amount available.
